North Fork Rancheria Community Building

In 2000 the Tribe purchased 61.5 acres of land in the town of North Fork for the development of tribal housing and a tribal community center. It sought and received a federal grant to provide the sewer, water, and roads to develop the mountainside in support of its housing program - in a new development to be known as WAH UP WEH TU – “the place of the cedars”. The Tribe sought and received a federal grant to construct a community center within WAH UP WEH TU. The Community Center and the WAH UP WEH TU infrastructure will be completed spring 2006.
